2/25/2011 KEEP IT REAL, WATCH GOD REVEAL! Reference Scripture: John 2:24 Jesus knew the heart of man. He knew that He was the “in thing” at the moment mainly because of the miracles He was doing. He knew that the devotion His followers had toward Him was convenience-driven. It was based off of their misperception and their understanding of who He was and what He was there to do. Yet Jesus was patient and loving as always and didn’t call them out on this. Instead, He befriended them and they ended up following their Beloved Friend and Teacher. Only after forming a true relationship with Jesus did God reveal to them who they’d really been following – The Messiah, Son of God, God Incarnate and Savior of the world. Let’s go beyond convenience, follow Jesus for real and watch God reveal in our lives today too. Amen? 2/24/2011 LIFT UP YOUR EYES AND SEE! Reference Scripture: Isaiah 40:25-26 According to scientists, the number of stars in our solar system is approximately equal to the number of grains of sand on all of the beaches on all the earth combined. When you think about it, the God who named every one of these stars also made you! Most of us don’t have a clear understanding of the magnitude and extreme precision involved in the make up of the universe we live in. Because of this, we often tend to have a very small view of God. We think of Him only as a “Big God” by our limited and limiting minds. When you look to the heavens and you consider the immensity and awesomeness of the heavens and how everything is specifically designed and precisely tweaked for us to be here, you’ll begin to realize that there has to be an awesome designer and He is our Creator, God. So don’t you think that since He made you, He has a specific purpose for you? Seek His purpose and not your own. Only then will you find true joy and fulfillment in the life He’s given you.
